As part of the Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week on 5-11 December 2016, Community Foundation for Central Victoria is proud to showcase the power of community partnerships in our region by celebrating the great success of Big Give – Australia’s first online community giving day, on 7th of December, 2016 at the Old Church on the Hill in Bendigo.

During the Big Give’s first run last September, 1,870 donors had given back an amazing $83,183 to our communities, topped up with $31,000 worth of prizes thanks to the generosity of participating sponsors, thus empowering 73 local community groups who participated in the project to make an even greater impact in our communities.

The Big Give Celebration night is a great opportunity for community groups, sponsors and donors to further strengthen or develop new relationships and partnerships, as well as share their experience, knowledge and best practice with each other and help make Big Give even better in the future.

The event will include the presentation of the video featuring groups that were involved in Big Give sharing their experience, and the independent evaluation report of the Big Give project, highlighting the power of community partnerships when you give where you live.
