Each of the 45 Lifeline centres located around Australia save lives providing the essential services of crisis support.
Lifeline relies on volunteer support to deliver crisis services 24 hours a day. Unfortunately our Lifeline Central Victoria & Mallee in Bendigo has limited services. Unlike other Lifelines around Australia, Lifeline Central Victoria & Mallee is unable to operate 24 hours a day, and doesn’t have an op-shop.
“Big Give is a great way to raise awareness of our local Lifeline services and our need to have more funds so that we can get more people operating the phones,” says Simon Wooldridge Lifeline Project Manager. “Big Give is about everyone giving, so we can give every hour, every day to people in need in our local community.”
Big Give is a 24 hour online Community Giving Day that everyone in Central Victoria from the Murray to the Macedon Ranges can join.
Starting midnight 1 September 2016 and ending midnight 2 September 2016, Big Give provides the platform to fundraise in a crowd, creating an infectious environment of giving to make great stuff happen in our community. If you are a not-for-profit, sports club or local community group, you can get involved by starting a campaign to raise funds for your organisation, your cause or your project. Compete, participate fully and win prizes from a prize pool of up to $30,000!
If you are a person in the community passionate to make a difference or you just want to give back to your community, make a donation to the organisations you love participating in Big Give. Donations can be as little as $10 or as large as you want. Give where you live and help your favourite not-for-profit win cash prizes.
